The 15th Annual Extreme Behavior Tour with Wayland and Hinder may be postponed in light of the corona virus, but the band who is “always on tour,” is honoring their reputation.
The band began their Quarantine Concert Series featuring brand new unreleased songs and a “Quarantine cover” every night for ten nights in a row before announcing Fearlyss Entertainment was presenting their virtual tour, and no detail has gone unnoticed.
Each day fans are provided an official day sheet providing the times the band will be going live and location of each platform. Their day mimics the schedule they held on the road a solid eight years before. They begin with AM Radio: Mitch & Phill in the morning, a mock radio show where the band performs live and talks about that night’s show. They follow that with afternoon live stream of soundcheck as they work on unreleased songs of their upcoming EP. The fans go wild during their live concert performance streaming every night at 7:30PM, and the most dedicated Warriors attend the VIP after party, a live cocktail hour with the band.
Wayland “tours” different social media platforms every night. They visit pages belonging to concert venues, festivals, Sixthman Cruises, radio shows, and the pages of other bands they “co-headline” with. They go live on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and if you forget to check the day sheet, don’t worry, their street team is hard at work posting digital flyers everywhere they can.
Encouraging fans to #KEEPYOURDISTANCE, they plan on continuing this concert series as long as the music industry is shut down. Lead Guitarist Phillip Vilenski says, “After spending 8 years straight touring and going on a year long hiatus to make this last record, we were just as excited as the fans to get back out on the road. When our tour got postponed, we knew we still had to show up, and provide them the music that is the medicine to get them through these times. It’s been just as healing for us as it has for them.”
Wayland is a six time charting Rock band hailing from a town of the same name in Michigan. Starting off by touring the world with performance group, The Young Americans teaching children music, their understanding that music is medicine has been their dharma ever since. Wayland toured three hundred days per year for eight years shaking every hand of every individual Wayland Warrior they made along the way, instilling their midwestern work ethic and sense of gratitude in everything they did. Wayland’s mission is to administer the very medicine that is their music dose by dose, town by town, every night they can.
WAYLAND’s “Welcome To My Head” hit #32 on the active rock charts followed by “Reno” which reached #54. They followed up these successes with “Get A Little,” which debuted at #6 on the iTunes rock charts while simultaneously hitting #49 on media base active rock charts with a viral music video to match. “Bloody Sunrise” reached #30 and was followed by their single, “Through The Fire” which reached #29 on the Billboard Music Charts. “Ghost,” co-written by Brent Smith and Zach Meyers of Shinedown reached #28 on BDS active rock. After coming off the road for the first time in almost a decade, Wayland signed with new management, Fearlyss Entertainment to write and record their next EP to which “I’m Not Alright,” introduces.
